About CivicSense
Our Mission
CivicSense was founded with a simple but powerful mission: to make civic education accessible, engaging, and relevant to everyone. We believe that an informed citizenry is essential to a healthy democracy, and we're committed to providing the resources and tools people need to understand their government, their rights, and their responsibilities.
What We Do
We offer a comprehensive suite of educational resources designed to help people of all ages and backgrounds understand how government works and how they can participate effectively in civic life. Our content is:
- Accessible: We break down complex topics into clear, straightforward language.
- Interactive: Our quizzes, assessments, and practical exercises help reinforce learning.
- Nonpartisan: We present information fairly and without political bias.
- Practical: We focus on knowledge and skills that people can apply in their everyday lives.
Our Story
CivicSense was created in 2023 by a team of educators, policy experts, and technologists who saw a need for better civic education resources online. With declining civic knowledge and participation across the country, we wanted to create a platform that would make learning about government and civic engagement more accessible and engaging.
Since then, we've grown into a comprehensive resource for students, educators, and citizens who want to better understand their government and their role in it.
Our Team
Our team brings together expertise in education, political science, law, and technology. We're united by a shared commitment to promoting civic literacy and engagement, and we work closely with educators, community organizations, and government agencies to ensure our content is accurate, relevant, and impactful.
